Virtues of Surah Saff Benefits (Chapter 61)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In The Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Surat Saff has 14 ayaat and it was revealed in Madinah.The designation of the Chapter derives from the Arabic word saff attested in the fourth Verse. The blessed Chapter mainly treats of the superiority of the Islamic faith over other Divine religions and the obligation of jihad in Allah’s Cause and supporting Allah’s Messengers.
Besides the blessed Chapter in question, Chapters 57 (Surah al-Hadid) and 59 (Surah al-Hashr) opens with
sabbaha (“glorifies”),
Chapters 62 (Surah al-Jum‘a) 64 (Surah al-Taghabun) with
yusabbihu (“glorifies”),
Chapter 17 (Surah al-Isra’) with
subhana (“glorified”),
and Chapter 87 with the imperative
sabbih ism-i rabbika (“Glorify the Name of your Lord”).

- Our Beloved Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (razi allahu anhu) has said that the person who recites Sura Saff will be placed in the group of angels and Prophets on the Day of Judgement. If this Surah is continually recited during a dangerous journey, the reciter is protected until he reaches his destination.
- If you Recites Surah As-Saff regularly in his obligatory and supererogatory salats would give him a place in the company of angels and prophets.
- Recites Surah As-Saff , Prophet Isa (A.S.) will seek forgiveness and safety for you so long as you lives in this world; and when you die , would be among the companions of prophet Isa on the day of judgement; who would also pray his funeral salat.
- If you recites Surah Saff regularly would remain safe from thieves and ruffians during journey till he safely returns to his house.
