Surah Muḥammad (Arabic: سُـورَة مُـحَـمَّـد‎, “Chapter of Muhammad“) is the 47th sura of the Qur’an with 38 ayat. The title of the Chapter derives from the second Verse in which mention is made of the name of the Our Beloved Prophet Mohammad sallallah la ilaha illallah wasalam.

The main subject matter concerns believers and disbelievers, comparing the twain in this world and the world to come, and the hypocrites’ sabotage in Medina. Mention is also made of issues regarding the captivity and freedom of the prisoners of war, call to spend money in Allah’s Cause, and forbidding obsequiousness and complacency in dealing with the enemy.

It is narrated that whoever wishes to perceive the circumstances of the Prophet’s Mohammad sallallah la ilaha illallah wasalam Household (as) and their enemies is supposed to recite the Chapter in question. It is also reported that the Our Beloved Prophet Muhammad sallallah la ilaha illallah wasalam would recite the Chapter in his evening prayers.

Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (razi allahu anhu) said that the person who recites Surah Mohammad will never have doubts about his religion and will not fall into disbelief and Shirk. A thousand angels will send salutations to his grave after his death. He will be placed under the protection of Allah (s.w.t.) and Our Beloved Prophet Muhammad sallallah la ilaha illallah wasalam.
When the reciter of Surah Muhammad will arise from his grave, whichever way he turns, he will see the blessed face of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.).
If Sura Mohammad is written and kept as a talisman, it protects a person, whether he is asleep or awake, from all evils and problems.
It is also a safety from insanity.
